Below please find my glowing recommendation for Loagan Furry.
She was given the job of getting one of my geldings, Sterling Majesty, and myself ready for the Qualified Rider Test (QRT) for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Mounted Posse.
My horse presented many issues with his back due to poor saddle fit and was afraid to move off into a lope because of the pain it caused. Loagan took the extra time to ensure he was comfortable with his new saddle, worked with him so that he had the confidence to move off into all three gaits and learn to enjoy his time in and out of the arena.
She was also charged with teaching him some of the more specific maneuvers required by the QRT including side passing, turns on the fore- and hind-quarters, etc. We of course passed our test with flying colors.

We also employed Loagan to teach our daughter to ride. She was very patient and extremely pleasant to work with. After one session, my daughter exclaimed “That’s the most fun I’ve ever had riding.” That should sum up the excellent talent Loagan has for not only training horses, but for training us humans too! I would highly recommend Loagan to anyone who needs basic, full, or extensive training with their horses or their families.

Loagan Furry has been training my daughter for almost a year now.
Her patience, knowledge, and skills are superb! She utilizes a variety of techniques and is familiar with both English and Western riding. Most importantly, she puts "safety first." Ms. Furry trained six weanling foals for us during the summer of 2007 and she did an outstanding job. Our goals presented to her included halter breaking each foal, brushing and handling, hoof care, leading, trailer loading, etc. Each goal was met as agreed to with no trauma or injury to horse or human.
We are extremely and pleased with Loagan's patience, skill and work ethic. She exhibited discipline, perseverance and a pleasant personality. As Loagan continues in her career I have no doubt she will be much sought after in the world of horsemanship.

At first I was a little intimidated about having riding lessons...
I have never had them before, but I knew it was time. Even though I had ridden for years, it had been a while, I was having confidence issues and nervous about handling my 13 year old, still green, Arabian mare. After meeting with Loagan, I decided to take my mare to her for a 30 day "tune-up" which included lessons for both of us together. I am so glad that I did, we both loved working with Loagan, she is truly gifted with horses, and patient with their owners. I appreciated so much that she was sensitive to my limitations, took time to encourage me, and managed all that while being very thorough. A pleasant, softer, more respectful mare returned to our home from the Loagan Ranch, and the many valuable tools that Loagan shared with me will provide continuity in her training. It is now a pleasure for me to ride again, we even venture out onto the trail occasionally, which I had not done in years, especially not on this horse. I look forward to future lessons with Loagan, and to seeing the positive impact her commitment, talent, and understanding of Natural Horsemanship will have on all, horse and human alike, who are fortunate enough to work with her.
